Current public builds require macOS 26 or later. This is the latest public release in the verified feed.

## Terminal & Connection Reliability

- **Reliable terminal output.** Large bursts of SSH output no longer silently lose data when a terminal tab falls behind. Local terminals and Docker, Kubernetes, and Nomad exec sessions now slow their input sources when needed to keep output ordered and memory bounded.
- **More reliable session recordings.** Unicode characters stay intact in saved recordings. If recording stops because of a disk or permission error, Termy notifies you while keeping the terminal connected.
- **Faster, safer SFTP transfers.** Parallel transfers improve performance on high-latency connections. Interrupted uploads resume safely, and failed or incomplete transfers preserve existing destination files.
- **Quicker SSH and tunnel recovery.** Connections are checked in parallel after wake or network restoration, and open terminal tabs are preserved when a shared connection is re-established.
- **Mouse wheel no longer navigates command history.** Fixed cases where scrolling recalled previous commands instead of scrolling terminal output. Mouse-enabled terminal apps retain their own scrolling behavior, and Shift lets you scroll locally.

## Workspace, Data & Automation

- **Hosts open in separate tabs.** Opening another host from the host list creates a new tab and keeps the current session running. Reopening a host already in a tab returns to that session.
- **Safer SSH and database password saves.** Failed saves preserve previous passwords and protection settings for SSH, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, ClickHouse, and RabbitMQ. Interrupted saves recover after restarting Termy, and Keychain or Touch ID errors stay visible.
- **Verified catalogue recovery.** Local backup generations include recent saved changes and are checked before restoration. Damaged originals are preserved, and iCloud status now reflects actual synchronization events, including errors and the last successful import and export.
- **iCloud compatibility fixes.** Updated iCloud storage to support current saved connections, S3 locations, dashboards, and automation settings. These server-side additions preserve compatibility with older Termy versions and keep existing data intact.
- **Reliable S3 multipart uploads.** Interrupted uploads resume their existing server upload after verifying the source file. Completed and cancelled transfers clean up their matching upload parts; uncertain outcomes retain recovery information.
- **Lossless database exports.** CSV distinguishes NULL from an empty string, and binary fields export their full contents instead of a shortened preview. PostgreSQL and MySQL preserve decimal and timestamp precision in table results and exports. Failed exports leave existing destination files intact.
- **Safer CSV imports.** PostgreSQL and transactional MySQL tables roll back failed imports, including errors in later batches. Nontransactional MySQL tables show partial results explicitly, and available recovery snapshots remain accessible after a failure.
- **Bounded PostgreSQL results and server cancellation.** Slow exports apply backpressure, while query previews have row and byte limits. Cancel reaches executing statements, including lock waits and EXPLAIN ANALYZE, and reports when the server cannot confirm the outcome.
- **Safer S3 downloads.** Files are downloaded into a temporary location and checked against the object's version and expected size before replacing an existing file. Interrupted transfers and changed remote objects leave the previous file intact.
- **Bounded ClickHouse results and clearer cancellation.** Large query results are parsed as they arrive with limits on displayed rows and bytes. Errors during streaming are reported, and Cancel tells you when server termination could not be confirmed.
- **Compatibility with newer Docker engines.** Termy selects a compatible API version when connecting, and container exec output stays intact when a terminal pauses reading.
- **Safer workspace recovery.** Tabs and layouts have a verified backup to recover from a damaged save. Save failures are reported, and older workspace data is kept until its replacement is successfully saved and checked.
- **Lower memory use for large MySQL results.** Query results are capped as rows arrive, and exports stream directly instead of loading the entire result into memory first.
- **MySQL cancellation that reaches the server.** Cancel requests termination of an active query and removes waiting queries before they start. Cancelling an active query resets its connection, clears session settings, and rolls back any open transaction.
- **More reliable Playbook scripts.** Heavy diagnostic output no longer blocks inventory, lookup, or local Playbook commands, including tasks delegated to localhost. Output limits prevent excessive buffering, while cancellation and timeouts terminate scripts and their child processes.

## Recording Search & Playback

- **Find complete phrases in saved output.** Recording search now finds text even when it arrived in separate chunks, such as a connection error split across terminal updates.
- **Smoother playback and repeat seeking.** Long recordings are read in small batches. Repeated seeks reuse saved terminal state, preserving colors and cursor position, and changing the playback position cancels an unfinished seek.

## Local Intelligence

- **Built-in llama.cpp replaces MLX.** Run AI locally on your Mac without setting up a separate server. Apple Intelligence remains available as an alternative.
- **A new Qwen 3.5 model lineup.** Choose from 2B, 4B, 9B, 27B, and 35B A3B models in GGUF format, with download sizes, memory guidance, and a recommendation for your Mac.
- **Your chosen model across AI features.** Command generation, snippets, explanations, and diagnostics work with your downloaded model even when Apple Intelligence is unavailable. Your companion keeps its own model settings.
- **More reliable model downloads.** Resume interrupted downloads without losing saved progress, see more accurate speed and time estimates, and have model files checked for integrity before installation.

## Improvements & Fixes

- **Intelligence settings feel at home in Termy.** Model selection, download, cancel, and delete controls now use the same components and sizing as the rest of Settings.
- **Localized in all nine app languages.** New model descriptions, memory recommendations, download states, and AI messages are translated throughout the updated interface.
- **Better handling of AI requests.** Improved cancellation, timeouts, and response validation prevent incomplete generated commands or snippets from being applied. Errors no longer silently change your selected model.
- **Memory released when AI is idle.** Local models load when needed and unload after inactivity or under memory pressure.

## Companion Artwork

- **All five companions, refreshed.** Biscuit, Eric, Holister, May, and Andrew have redrawn sprites with cleaner outlines and clearer details.
- **Cleaner edges on light and dark backgrounds.** Improved transparency removes color fringes and stray pixels around the characters.
- **More consistent animation.** Improved frame alignment keeps companions steadier as they blink, speak, move, and react. All existing animation states are preserved.

## Important for Existing MLX Users

- **Download a new model in Settings > Intelligence.** Previously downloaded MLX models cannot be used with the new engine. Their files stay on your Mac until you choose to remove them from Intelligence settings.
